Joining

The current fee for joining the station is £20.00 for all members of the union - this is to cover our fees for playing copyrighted music on air. Everyone who is involved in the station is a paid member - including all presenters, officers and various members of teams within the station.

 

 

Why Join?

As well as being part of one of Durham's largest societies, you are gaining air time! Every member of the station is entitled to a radio show, dependent upon spaces in the schedule. There are opportunities to be involved with the Music and Team teams too, as well as technical and marketing roles behind the scenes. Being a member of Purple will also entitle you to personalised stash and the opportunity to get involved with our socials.

If you have any more questions or would like to the join the station, please get in touch with our Deputy Station Manager, Bryony Blakeway who will be able to help you further. There is no limit on the number of members of the station - the more, the merrier!

 

 

Life Members

If you are a life member from a previous year, please contact Bryony Blakeway who will ensure this information is correct and you will be re-added to the current mailing lists. If nothing is heard, you will not be included in current station notices. Life membership is no longer an available option for new members.
