Purple Radio is delighted to reveal its new Executive Committee for the year 2020-21.
Replacing Adrian Waddelove as Station Manager is fourth year student Gabriel Radus who returns from his year abroad. You might know him better as one of the voices from his Pub Talk podcast which is available on the Purple Radio On Demand Spotify page.
The new Assistant Station Manager is Alex Orton who, somewhat appropriately, is promoted from Head of Promotions and takes over from Emily Kilner.
Following on from last year's precedent, the newly created Head Producer role is shared by Luca Pittallis and Joanna Wright. Luca was previously Head of Live Production. Also split is the Head of Sport position, between Archie Hodgson and Ben Sharp and they replace Ed Chambers.
Bill Pain is the incoming Head of News, filling the big shoes vacated by Naomi Clark who has held the post for the past two years albeit with the help of Tasha Livingstone during her second stint. Naomi will be remembered for playing a massive part in helping Purple Radio win its first national Student Radio Award last November.
Former News Team assistant Max Kendix takes on the role of Head of On Demand. Most listeners will be familiar with his podcast Covfefe with Kendix. He replaces the outgoing Mimi Davies.
With Harry Gilbey on a year abroad and Alex Orton moving to Assistant Station Manager, this has left the enormous role of Head of Promotions vacant. Elle Woods-Marshall steps into the breach to fill this void.
Alfie Leach (Head of Music), Natalie Ho (Head of Visualisation) and Jacob Dobson (Head of Tech) all continue in their current roles and make up the rest of the Executive Commitee.
Two positions remain unfilled: Head of Broadcasting Standards and Head of Web Development. If anyone is interested in filling these roles then please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
